Rob Morrison To Join CBS 2 News

NewsByte2 has learned that Rob Morrison, formerly of WNBC, will join CBS 2 News. His first day is scheduled to be Monday, according to an e-mail sent out this afternoon to staffers. Morrison will be anchoring Saturday and Sunday mornings with Mary Calvi and report three days a week. He previously anchored WNBC's "Today in New York" until May of 2008. Late last year, Morrison authored this blog post on The Huffington Post about suddenly being a stay-at-home dad.

Cindy Hsu, who had been co-anchoring with Calvi since Steve Bartelstein abruptly resigned March 17th, will return to weekday reporting with a focus on families.

Welcome Back!

It is a really pleasure seeing you back in front of the cameras again. Once you left NBC I switch to CBS and now I have more reasons to watch with you and Otis Livingston on CBS.

Again I am glad that you are back!!!

I was very happy to see Rob Morrison anchoring the local CBS news this past weekend. Great to see Mr. Morrison back on a major NYC news program. He's a very talented anchor.

WNBC laid off Len Berman, Otis Livingston, and Rob Morrison - all mistakes in my book. Personally, I think it's time for Chuck Scarborough to leave....boring for too many years.

It's was a surprise today when we turned on the TV and saw Rob Morrison's name on CBS. My wife and I were avid viewers of the morning show on NBC but when Rob and Otis left so did we. We now watch CBS in the morning and now that Rob has been added to the team we won't miss a show. Rob is back where he belongs in front of the camera...Thanks CBS for bring him back!

one thing that i really hope you will bring more of to CBS is your love and compassion towards animals. you were a key element over in nbc by making people aware and reporting from the heart. i know that you are admired amongst animal advicates and rescuers alike. hoping that we see some great things from you to help our furry and feathered friends because you DO make a difference and we need friends in the media like you to keep spreading the word!

a BIG welcome back and can't wait to see what amazing heights you will soar to! CONGRATS! hey -- time on the air and more time with jack -- life is good for you! thanks CBS for bringing him back to the airwaves!
